Insight Global Facilities Maintenance Technician in Vancouver, British Columbia
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our client locally in Vancouver, BC. We are looking for someone to respond to assigned maintenance requests through the facility ticketing system and report on completed requests at the head office and warehouse. Other responsibilities will include:
* With the direction of the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician, conduct plumbing, electrical, furniture, painting, and drywall repairs
* Perform scheduled, preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance as required
* Maintain and ensure the proper operations of the electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire/life/safety components at each location and conduct building walkthroughs to identify general corrective maintenance
* Along with the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician, respond to after-hours emergency calls and carry the Facilities cell phone
* Build and maintain strong relationships with our vendors, ensure tasks are complete, and report progress to the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician
* Ensure janitorial services are maintained and daily cleaning responsibilities are carried out in accordance with checklists and agreements
* Assist the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician in ensuring waste removal services are conducted as scheduled
* Participate in the Health and Safety Committee to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Support the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician with the operation of security and building systems

Skills and Requirements
2 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance
1+ years working alongside vendors or contractors
Skilled with electrical, mechanical, tools, plumbing, HVAC, painting
Strong customer service voice
Successfully completed, or process of completing WHMIS certification
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work with minimal supervision
Be able to lift 30 lbs. regularly
Comfortable working on ladders at various heights null
