Veralto Business Intelligence (BI) Developer in Vancouver, British Columbia

POSITION SUMMARY :

The primary role of this position is to provide advanced hands-on expertise and design, deliver and sustain Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and reports through enterprise BI environments. The primary focus initially is for the Commercial Team with a goal to roll out BI dashboards throughout the organization.

The BI Developer works closely with business stakeholders to ensure that information needs are addressed while following BI best practices and guidelines. Acquires and leverage cross-functional understanding of business and information needs, translating specification requirements into BI implementations. Work with data architecture and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and sustainment operation of quality BI solutions providing critical business information. Collaborates with Salesforce Administrator and Finance Team to understand data architecture. Supports, guides and trains end-users.

The role will directly report to the Senior Manager for Business Intelligence and is part of the Sales Organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Build robust data pipelines, data models, and BI dashboards and reports that reflect specifications and business needs while following visualization and UAT guidelines and best practices.

  • Work in close collaboration with domain data owners, data stewards and the Global Data Governance organization at Hach to ensure continuous improvement of data quality metrics, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability of data.

  • Develops and organizes standard work documentation related to the BI environment, development, design, and operations.

  • Support BI strategy road map execution. Consult with and train associates on BI topics and BI applications.

  • Collaborates on development and maintenance of a promotion process for dashboards and reports from development to publication ensuring that design guidelines and quality standards are followed across business units.

  • Utilizes time effectively, using daily management of activities and prioritization to meet deadlines (sense of urgency/ immediate impact).

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • BS, BA in Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Finance, Information Science, or a related field.

  • 3+ years successful experience developing BI reports and dashboards in Power BI Premium Capacity implementations.

  • Proven experience working with key stakeholders, peers, and users at any level in a global environment. Knowledge of software, water quality, or manufacturing industry is desirable.

  • Visualization and UAT experience as well as experience with continuous improvement of BI application reflecting business needs, user feedback, and best practices.

  • Solid design and/or data modeling experience in Business intelligence tool development with Microsoft Power BI.

  • High level understanding of databases and SQL Server Management Studio.

  • Intermediate to expert level knowledge of DAX and SQL.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
