We are offering an interim (contract) employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Valhalla, New York. This role is integral to our team, focusing on invoicing, payment processing, and maintaining accurate customer accounts. The industry we operate in is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring strong analytical skills and a high degree of familiarity with accounts receivable functions.

Responsibilities:

• Handle invoicing for all customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Undertake manual invoice automation to streamline processes.

• Execute cash application tasks to maintain accurate financial records.

• Conduct regular reviews of invoices for accuracy before sending to customers and clients.

• Process payments promptly and accurately to maintain positive customer relations.

• Provide necessary shipping documentation as part of the accounts receivable function.

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, to manage and analyze data.

• Leverage experience in accounts receivable and billing to improve and maintain financial processes.

• Use a major ERP system to manage and maintain customer credit records.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) or a similar role for at least 2 years

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Strong background in executing billing functions and cash activity processes

• Familiarity with check processing and budgeting

• Hands-on experience with D365 or other major ERP systems

• Understanding of accounting principles and ability to work with large amounts of data

• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

• Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
