Screening Supervisor

Department: Manufacturing Direct

Reporting To: Production Manager

Compensation: $23.00 / hour

Description

Supervises and coordinates Screening Department processing of production by performing the following duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises lead and operators in the Screening department.

  • Oversees department’s production and operations.

  • Creates and implements improvements related to equipment materials and processes.

  • Processes corrective actions and equipment mechanical maintenance.

  • Supports and follows Knowles values in practice

  • Conducts yearly performance employee evaluations.

  • Reads work orders and processing charts to determine specifications and sequence of operations.

  • Rejects faulty assembly, part, or component and records type and quantity of defects in proper forms.

  • Measures parts to verify accuracy of dimensions.

  • Maintains manual or computerized records of production and inspection data.

  • Schedules and controls the production of materials in screening.

  • Maintains inventories for screening.

  • Oversees clean room maintenance, certifications and equipment calibration tracking.

  • Creates and implements improvements for equipment, materials and processes.

  • Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.

    • Develops and revises standard operational working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance are within standards.
  • Sets up and conducts tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors, or to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.

  • Analyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications.

Knowles is committed to providing a competitive and fair total compensation package for all employees.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting pay for this role is targeted to be between $23.00 and $12.50 per hour.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
