Health Advocates Network RESPIRATORY CARE PRACTITIONER in Vacaville, California

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to work at a facility in Vacaville, California . These are registry positions with our company.

Pay Rate: $39 / hour

Area: Area: Medical OT-10HR Class: RCP Shift: 1 Start: 07:00:00 End: 17:00:00

Duties:

  1. Identifies breath sounds, recognizes abnormal breath sounds, recognizes abnormal arterial blood gases, identifies amount and character of secretions, determine need for supplemental oxygen/suction 2. Reports changes in patient's status to charge nurse or physician and staff caring for patient

  2. Documents Respiratory Care consistent with hospital charting standards

  3. Complies with hospital policy for receiving doctor's orders, including verbal and phone

  4. Accurately gives report to oncoming shift

  5. Reports extraordinary patient problems to supervisor, director or administrator as necessary

  6. Complies with hospital policies and procedures for selected precautions, i.e.; seizure, suicide

  7. Uses principles of body mechanics in mobilizing patient or objects

  8. Asks for help when lifting heavy patients

  9. Complies with policies for restraints

  10. Complies with policies for electrical safety

  11. Checks the Emergency Equipment policy

  12. Incorporates infection control principles in practice

  13. Demonstrates skills related to the management of emergency situations

  14. Complies with policy for cardio-pulmonary arrest

  15. Demonstrates competency for ABG drawing and sampling

  16. Demonstrates competency for Quality Control and ABG analyzers

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 36 months (3yrs) as a Respiratory Care Practitioner

  • Ability to build rapport with patients

  • Compassionate and caring demeanor

  • Familiarity with medical terminology

  • A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)

  • Must have up to date credentials in the state of California
