Advantive Sr. Payroll Specialist in US, United States
We are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing for 500+ employees across the US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, and Australia, This position will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and addressing any payroll-related issues that arise
Key Responsibilities:
Organize, input, and process payroll for multi-state and international payrolls for salaried and hourly employees ensuring the overall accuracy of employee data including wages, taxes, and deductions
Audit and manage timecards for hourly non-exempt employees and communicate appropriately regarding deadlines
Partner with accounting to assist in the processing of accurate and timely quarterly and year-end tax reporting.
Manage the opening and closure of state and/or local tax accounts.
Maintain and create records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state, local, and provider regulations.
Aid with the integration of acquired companies into existing payroll schedules and platforms, as needed.
Design and maintain accurate documentation and process manuals for all payroll processes
Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations
Qualifications:
4 + years of experience as a multi-state, global Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
Bachelor’s degree required, CPP or FCP Certification preferred
Strong understanding of multi-state, global payroll processes, laws, and regulations.
Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce preferred
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
