Advantive Sr. Payroll Specialist in US, United States

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing for 500+ employees across the US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, and Australia, This position will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and addressing any payroll-related issues that arise

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize, input, and process payroll for multi-state and international payrolls for salaried and hourly employees ensuring the overall accuracy of employee data including wages, taxes, and deductions

  • Audit and manage timecards for hourly non-exempt employees and communicate appropriately regarding deadlines

  • Partner with accounting to assist in the processing of accurate and timely quarterly and year-end tax reporting.

  • Manage the opening and closure of state and/or local tax accounts.

  • Maintain and create records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state, local, and provider regulations.

  • Aid with the integration of acquired companies into existing payroll schedules and platforms, as needed.

  • Design and maintain accurate documentation and process manuals for all payroll processes

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations

Qualifications:

  • 4 + years of experience as a multi-state, global Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, CPP or FCP Certification preferred

  • Strong understanding of multi-state, global payroll processes, laws, and regulations.

  • Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce preferred

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
