    Position Summary:

    The Analyst II provides financial and analytical support to the hospital's leadership. This position serves as a Financial Business Partner to assigned Senior and Operations Management, providing support with annual budgets, monthly activity costing, service line profitability, flex budgeting, budget variance analysis and other financial analysis. Activities include hands-on costing and budgeting, data manipulation, analysis, and pro forma preparation.

    Essential Functions:

  • Interacts on a daily basis with the Mgr Budget and Service Line Directors and other leadership relating to financial issues of the entity. Provides assistance to assigned department directors and managers in interpreting financial data, be responsible to develop and train hospital managerial staff, so they can effectively manage their departments. Provides analytical reports for inclusion on monthly financial package. Maintains and compile financial metric data. Acts as a "business partner" for management focusing on revenue cycle performance. Assists internal audit department and external auditing firm during year-end audit.

  • Provide financial analysis, interpretation of data, and assist in decision making processes of the leadership team. Analyzes month end balances and perform analytical review for income and expense accounts.* Researches and prepares variance analysis and explanations. Analyzes revenue and expense variances monthly. Assists in the development of business plans, action plans and variance reporting. Provides financial and operational analytics as needed. Performs financial and profitability analysis upon request. Acts as a Decision Support Super User and Financial Expert for the Service Lines and departments assigned

  • Primary responsibility for working with Hospital Vice Presidents and Directors on successful completion of the entity's, annual operating and capital budgets. Participates in coordinating, building and reviewing annual operating budgets. Participates in coordinating, building and reviewing annual capital budgets. Develops reporting tools to alert senior management to critical areas of review and focused attention to improve profitability.

  • Will be responsible to meet with hospital management to review financial reports and strengthen the relationship between Clinical and Financial Operations. Develops service line profitability analyses, lease-buy analyses, financial projections and other analytic projects. Creates meaningful financial reports from various data sources and synthesizes complex data into user-friendly presentations. Effectively communicates reports and findings to appropriate parties. Meets with hospital management to review Revenue Cycle reports and strengthen the relationship between Clinical and Financial Operations. Participates as appropriate in improvements to accounting systems and processes. Meets with hospital management to review financial reports and strengthen the relationship between Clinical and Financial Operations. Maintains a strong understanding of various common hospital information systems
