Immunodiagnostics Division is a Division within Thermo Fisher Scientific, with more than 2000+ employees, which develops, manufactures and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases.

Would you like to lead in a dynamic and international environment, with products that have a positive impact on the health of people worldwide? We are seeking a Finance Senior Manager who will provide finance and business partnering leadership to the IDD Operations team for the Immunodiagnostic Division. This role will lead a finance team and will be the primary business partner for the VP Operations and Senior Director QARA. As a Senior Manager you will ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and timely and accurate financial reporting, consistent with USGAAP and local reporting requirements. In addition, the position holder will provide valuable decision support, identify and implement operational improvement opportunities and support and develop a strong finance team.

What you will do:

  • Drive AOP / QBR / Strategic Plan (STRAP), and ensure financial decisions support for Operations STRAP / AOP

  • Communicate results to the broader organization and ensure alignment on key financial goals

  • Develop and lead analytical methods for exploratory and explanatory business insights

  • Evaluate investment opportunities and business cases for key Operations investment and STRAP objectives. Provide financial support in the execution phase of the projects.

  • Successfully support PPI programs to improve productivity and efficiency.

  • Streamline financial and operational processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

  • Develop operational metrics / contingencies

  • Manage and supervise the standard price setting annual process.

  • Identify and mitigate operational risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Build and develop a successful team

How you will get here:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business related field required; Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA, CMA) and/or MBA strongly desired

Experience

  • Excellent academic credentials and strong finance skills.

  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to adapt leadership style to different situations and people

  • 10 years+ experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization

  • Proficient at understanding and proactively communicating the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics

  • Strong internal controls and technical accounting experience. Must have an outstanding attention to detail and strong process rigor

  • Strong analytical skills – and ability to use those skills to influence and drive change

  • Operations/Manufacturing Finance experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills are required to collaborate with various partners.

  • Fluent English required and Swedish and/or German desirable.

  • Able to deliver high quality effective presentation and understands and deploys best tools / methods to effectively communicate complex topics

  • Self-motivated, higher level of flexibility and strong work ethic with the goal to get the job done

Travel requirements

  • 15% domestic/international travel required
