Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist based out of Baltimore, MD. This position is going to support multiple programs located out of our Baltimore, Maryland site. Full-Time telework may considered for this role. This position may be staffed in any CONUS state location.

You will be responsible for the full range of the procurement process including preparation and execution of a mixed portfolio of procurements while ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures. You will understand the buyer and the seller roles in establishing mutually successful business arrangements. You must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Sourcing and procuring goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers.

Initiating requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers.

Working with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required. Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.

Issuing purchase orders.

Manage performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures.

Employ sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.

Ensuring that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.

Review and approves supplier payment as needed. This position can be filled at a level 2 or a level 3.

Level 2 Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management or related fields; 0 years’ with a Master’s Degree

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite

  • US Citizenship

  • Demonstrated strong negotiation Skills

Level 2 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SAP (MES)

  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR Regulations

  • Experience working with DOD customers

  • Demonstrated leadership in past projects, roles or experiences

Level 3 Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management or related fields; 3 years with a Master’s Degree

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite

  • US Citizenship

  • Demonstrated strong negotiation Skills

Level 3 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SAP (MES)

  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR Regulations

  • Experience working with DOD customers

  • Demonstrated leadership in past projects, roles or experiences

Salary Range: $65,600 - $98,400

Salary Range 2: $80,600 - $121,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
