JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic's responsibilities are primarily focused on airframe and powerplant repair of general aviation, corporate aviation, airline on-call maintenance, and other maintenance opportunities as needed. Individual must demonstrate the maturity, judgment, and analytical ability to perform all aspects of aircraft maintenance and must possess a background in general aviation, corporate aviation, and airline aircraft maintenance.

Approximate weekly hours expected to be around 20. This position has the possibility of becoming a 40 hours per week position for 28 weeks.

Responsibilities: Perform routine 100 hour and annual inspections and A&P checks Troubleshooting and performing needed repairs to airframe components, engines, and a variety of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs to aircraft accessories. Performing structural repairs to airframe Perform oil changes and service hydraulic systems Make required logbook entries of repairs and comply with all FAA and PSU requirements Install optional or added equipment to aircraft Ability to lift 45 pounds or more, with or without accomodation May be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent, Must have valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate, experience, and education necessary to perform duties Previous aircraft maintenance experience in general aviation, corporate aviation and commercial airline is required. 3+ years aircraft maintenance experience is required Ability to handle, prioritize and multitask in a time-sensitive environment Must possess minimum tooling required to perform duties assigned. Must be able to successfully pass the required Security Threat Assessment and FBI Criminal History Record Check. This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment Position is subject to random U.S. Department of Transportation/Federal Aviation Administration mandated drug and alcohol testing.
