JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Sociology and Criminology (https://sociology.la.psu.edu/) at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus, invites applications for a full-time Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor This is a non-tenure-track, limited-term appointment for one year (standard academic calendar/spring and fall semester), with a possibility of renewal.

The position will involve teaching courses in Sociology at the undergraduate level. Minimum requirements include a Master’s degree in Sociology or a closely related field; Ph.D. preferred. Rank will be determined based on education and experience. The Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor will be expected to teach three or four courses per semester, and summer teaching is sometimes available for interested faculty.
