JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The College of Arts and Architecture seeks an experienced and motivated individual to serve as the Administrative Support Manager in the Stuckeman School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (Stuckeman School). This position will oversee the administrative activities for the Stuckeman School by providing assistance to the School Director to include, but not limited to: establishing priorities; developing, executing, and assessing processes and procedures; solving problems and approving completed work by direct reports; validating and approving financial transactions; planning, publicizing, and coordinating special events; providing assistance and collaborating with other college and university units and staff to achieve unit goals; compile and analyze data for a variety of reports, grants, contracts and programs.

This position requires extensive cooperation and coordination between the units of the School (the departments of architecture, landscape architecture, and graphic design) including the activities and staff of the School. Supervision of School administrative staff and part-time employees is an important part of this position.

Typical work activities: Perform complex and confidential administrative duties and responsibilities; resolve inquiries and ensure compliance with policies and procedures; establish and assign priorities; ensure schedules are maintained and deadlines are met; oversee hiring, training and management of staff and perform annual evaluations for staff; manage building access; coordinate equipment and space needs for the School in conjunction with the College Facilities Office.

Provide support to the Director and department heads by maintaining calendar and arranging and organizing meetings.Arrange complex School projects, events, and programs.

Assist Director with the Stuckeman School annual report and School document preparation including but not limited to data collection, data analysis, summary of results, and drafting documents.

Provide support to the Director for strategic plan development and implementation that includes developing external relations with community, government agency, and industry.Analyze and summarize data for School budgets, reports and proposals and provide long-range planning assistance to School Director.

Coordinate communications, scheduling, and logistics for Stuckeman School Advisory Board, College's Office of Development and Alumni Relations, and outside entities.

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to teamwork required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel) preferred. Knowledge of Workday and SIMBA preferred.

This position requires an associate's degree or higher and 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience.
