Governors State Universityis a predominantly Black institution (PBI), a minority-servinginstitution (MSI), and an emerging Hispanic-serving institution (HSI) seeking nominations and applications for two (2) full-time tenure track positions at the rank ofAssistant or Associate Professor in Computer Sciencein theDivision of Science, Mathematics and Technology{tabindex="0" target="_blank" rel="noopener"}, College of Arts and Sciences.The positions are available to begin in Fall semester of 2025-2026 academic year. Applicants shall have earned a Ph.Ds degree in Computer Science or a related field.The successful candidates will be expected to a) haveoutstanding teaching skillsto teach and update undergraduate and graduate courses b) have experience working with non-traditional and diverse student populations c) assist with curriculum design and the development of academic program and assessment and d) participate in appropriate professional development including serving on committees, maintaining a strong record of scholarship, and cultivating good connections with industry partners. Governors State University is the only regional public comprehensive university in Chicagos south suburban area, serving more than 4,500 students annually. Minimum Qualifications

1. Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related field; ABD in the final stages of completion will also be considered.\ 2. Knowledge and ability to teach a wide range of undergraduate and graduate computer science courses.\ 3. Documented record of an ability to make intellectual contributions through scholarly publications/presentations consistent with the maintenance of AQ (Academically Qualified) faculty status under accreditation standards.\ 4. Ability to complement the programs strengths.\ \
