Governors State Universityis a predominantly Black institution (PBI), a minority-servinginstitution (MSI), and an emerging Hispanic-serving institution (HSI) seeking nominations and applications for two (2) full-time tenure track positions at the rank ofAssistant or Associate Professor in Computer Sciencein theDivision of Science, Mathematics and Technology{tabindex="0" target="_blank" rel="noopener"}, College of Arts and Sciences.The positions are available to begin in Fall semester of 2025-2026 academic year. Applicants shall have earned a Ph.Ds degree in Computer Science or a related field.The successful candidates will be expected to a) haveoutstanding teaching skillsto teach and update undergraduate and graduate courses b) have experience working with non-traditional and diverse student populations c) assist with curriculum design and the development of academic program and assessment and d) participate in appropriate professional development including serving on committees, maintaining a strong record of scholarship, and cultivating good connections with industry partners.
