Philips Solutions Consultant Manager in United Kingdom - Remote Based, United Kingdom

The need for alternative and complex solutions in the healthcare market is increasing rapidly and Philips Solutions is at the forefront of this innovation. As part of an expanding successful team with extensive experience of complex solutions within healthcare and the NHS, the Solutions Consultant Manager will support both Solutions Business Development Managers in their activities driving new business and Customer Delivery Managers (CDMs) in their activities successfully delivering secured contracts.

Your role:

  • Support Solutions Business Development Managers in developing customer relationships and opportunities (e.g. by designing and delivering tailored workshops/ engagement events), including contributing to bids / proposals for opportunities across the full portfolio of Philips Solutions (e.g. Managed Services, Integrated Cardiology Solutions, Radiology, Oncology, Intensive Care and Sustainability Solutions) in the UK and Ireland.

  • You will also support Customer Delivery Managers to deliver customer facing projects related to won contracts – e.g. service improvement projects forming a part of larger Managed Service programmes / contracts (typically concerning radiology and cardiology services).

  • Supporting sales of Solutions via consulting services, customising solutions, and developing strategic working relationships with clients.

  • Supporting additional Solutions sales through contract extensions and upsells.

  • Delivering customer focused consulting projects - driving operational excellence and efficiency, while delivering appropriate consulting quality within budget and project parameters.

  • Using creative thinking to combine different possibilities of satisfying customer needs in alignment with Philips Continuum of Care strategy.

  • Upholding a customer focus through collaborating, partnering and co-creating with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Exhibiting clear and impactful communication and articulation of consulting decision making - done with a clear eye on positive commercial advantage for Philips in the short or long term.

  • Applying, maintaining and extending the knowledge, expertise, and service propositions of the organization within the area of competence.

  • Communicating best practices and achievements in case studies and marketing publications.

Key performance indicators

  • Delivery of projects on time and budget and with quality.

  • Support via Consulting capabilities to Solutions Sales

  • Support to Solutions Wins (NPV Total Contract Value)

  • Customer satisfaction and/or NPS scores as result of customer engagement.

  • Committed to continued learning by developing capabilities in new service offerings.

  • Committed to continuously providing input to improve or develop new services within different consulting areas supporting our Solutions portfolio.

Headed by the Solutions Leader, the team comprises BDMs, bid and contract managers, financial and consulting specialists. The role involves working with the team to deploy consulting capabilities (e.g. change management, data analytics and improvement approaches) to support the structuring and conversion of Solutions deals in the UKI Zone and potentially wider European market. Once such contracts are won the consulting manager supports their delivery, as required the proposal.

You’re right for this role if:

  • You have significant experience of health-related consultancy, internal transformation consulting within a healthcare organisation / NHS trust, or in a business transacting with the NHS and other healthcare bodies.

  • Direct experience of defining and delivering transformational change and service improvement projects is required.

  • Ideally candidates will also have experience of supporting business development and bid management processes associated with either winning consultancy work directly or in support of broader based solutions, or systems/ services contracts.

  • Exhibit leadership skills to drive projects through to successful completion.
