The Role:

Sedgwick Repair Solutions Managed Contractor Network provides a restoration and repair service predominantly for the insurance sector, but also for private clients and customers. We now have an excellent opportunity for a supply chain manager to join our highly successful team. We are a national team, and any location will be considered in the UK.

Reporting to a senior supply chain manager, you`ll assist with the strategic direction of our Repair and Restoration Contractor Network. Your remit will include the performance and capacity management of allocated contractors within our network through effective monitoring of agreed measures, always embracing and demonstrating Sedgwick core values.

Already experienced in the construction/building arena, you`ll focus on fostering key relationships with our network of contractors. You’ll ensure your contractors evidence continuous improvement against the high standards which we expect. These include performance measures that relate to cost control, repair times and quality of work; always ensuring that individual customer’s needs are exceeded, and client confidence is maintained.

You will use a range of performance management tools and techniques to monitor the performance of your allocated contractors, ensuring maximum performance, engagement, and effective relationships. Relationships and performance are driven via a combination of face to face and virtual visits.

Youll be working with key stakeholders at Director and Senior Management level, as well as our Network Contractors and Clients, so youll be required to ensure a consistent message of exceptional customer service is embedded in all the tasks you undertake.

Along with the performance management of the contractors on the network, the role also involves working with our clients to build strong and effective relationships and taking ownership of contractor selection and involvement in key projects to continue our development of new services.

About you:

If you have experience of managing a team’s performance, or are from the Supply Chain Management industry, this would be beneficial but is not essential. Additionally, you`ll have the following experience and skills:

  • Experience in the construction/building arena is essential

  • Property claims/insurance background desirable

  • The ability to work collaboratively across a range of stakeholders

  • Knowledge and experience of performance management

  • The ability to communicate at senior and corporate levels

  • An ability to problem solve and respond in a changing and demanding environment

  • Be prepared to travel and on occasion cover other operational areas for colleagues

  • To work closely with all areas of the business from customer support to contractor compliance

  • Exceptional personal organisation and strong face to face & virtual communication skills

  • Negotiation skills and relationship experience is essential

  • Good IT skills across Microsoft products and the ability to quickly pick up and use bespoke in-house systems

  • Hold a full driving licence
