The Role:

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Subsidence Claims/Adjusting Executive, within our award-winning Subsidence Services Division. You will be based at home and working as part of a dedicated AE claims team.

Acting as a focal point for clients and their customers you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of domestic and commercial claims up to an agreed value. Following training and licensing you will be empowered to make all decisions on your claims. The key requirement is to accelerate claims through to conclusion and this will be achieved by high levels of autonomy.

Your role will include, but not exclusively, the following activities:

  • First point of contact for customers and clients

  • Supporting and resolving any queries from customers and clients

  • Progression of claim towards conclusion with authority for all technical decisions on the claim.

  • Production of client specific reports and documentation for the customer

  • Ensure an accurate action plan is maintained throughout the claim and all stakeholders updated when any revisions are introduced

  • Responsible for reserve accuracy of the claim

  • Liaison with suppliers to ensure progress and delivery of services provided by our suppliers

Using your experience you will deliver an exceptional customer experience through pro-active management of subsidence claims which you will manage to conclusion.

You will be reporting to an Operations Manager. Whilst this is a home working role there may be a need to occasionally travel to attend meetings.

You will have:

  • Appropriate chartered status e.g. Cert CILA or Cert CII or commitment to secure this status within 1 year of appointment

  • Experience in handling subsidence claims

  • Organised, diligent and able to run tasks through to completion

  • Conscientious and hard working in order to achieve the required results, as well as being flexible and adaptable during times of high volumes

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Experience of a computer-based handling system

  • Ability to deal with demanding customers in a sympathetic but firm manner over the phone

  • Ability to cope with a fast-changing working environment

  • A desire to embrace innovative working practices

  • Enthusiastic, professional and positive attitude
