Atlantic Health System Lead Multi-modality Tech, Union Campus in Union, New Jersey

Responsible for the preparation and operation of x-ray equipment in performing diagnostic patient exams and procedures safely and accurately to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis.

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Prepares equipment for imaging tests, based on physicians' orders and in adherence to department safeguards and protocols to ensure quality results.

  2. Prepares patient and performs radiology procedures.

  3. Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and clinical techniques with scope of practice such as basic CPR, vital signs, visual acuity, electrocardiogram, wound care including suture set-up, orthopedic splinting, Point of Care testing, assisting with eye and ear irrigation, blood glucose checks and throat swab specimen collection and responding appropriately to emergency situations.

  4. Maintains records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements.

  5. Performs incidental general office duties to include answering phone; scheduling; filing; maintaining patient records; ordering supplies.

  6. Other relevant duties as assigned

Required:

  1. Graduate from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, which demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities is also required.

  2. American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (R)

  3. Current State of NJ Licensure as a Radiology Technologist - Certified

  4. Current State of NJ licensure as Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) within 90 days of hire

  5. NJ Society of Radiological Technologist (NJSRT) recommended

  6. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CertificationLEAD - Specific Certification related to position or Associates Degree/Technical Degree in related field. All licenses and certifications needed to fulfill the duties required of a Technician at the state (s) and/or national level. Top expert and functional mentor; possesses the most advanced knowledge of the function/family and department. Makes decisions regarding daily priorities for a work group; provides guidance to and/or assists staff on non-routine or escalated issues. Collaborates with Management in the development and validation of methods, techniques, and analytical approach. Serves as a model/mentor for team Members on technical skills.
