The Toxics Cleanup Program{rel="nofollow"} (TCP) program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Cleanup & Compliance Unit Supervisor (WMS Band 1) position. The position is located Central Regional Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA{rel="nofollow"}. The Cleanup & Compliance Unit Supervisor manages the eight staff in the unit and reports to the Section Manager of the Toxics Cleanup Program (TCP). The mission of the Toxics Cleanup Program (TCP) is to protect Washington's human health and the environment by preventing and cleaning up pollution and supporting sustainable communities and natural resources for the benefit of future and current generations. The eight staff in the unit include six cleanup project managers and two underground storage tank inspectors. Through your supervision of this staff, you will have the opportunity to provide leadership to your team through work assignments and direction. This includes assigning and managing resources to ensure statewide inspection and cleanup requirements and policies are implemented consistently and effectively. You'll also support efforts to train staff and promote professional development. You'll handle all personnel issues, including hiring new staff. This position is based out of the Central Region Office, which has over 100 employees and is committed to public service.
