Robert Half Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager in Union City, California

Description We are looking for a Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager to join our team based in Union City, California. This role involves leading and managing the Credit & Collections staff, developing and implementing systems and procedures, and overseeing the analysis of accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Credit & Collections staff by assigning, monitoring, and reviewing their work.

• Develop and implement systems, procedures, and policies, including the corporate credit policy.

• Oversee the analysis of accounts receivable and aging of accounts to determine overdue accounts and devise collection procedures.

• Monitor the credit granting and updating process as well as deductions being taken by customers.

• Conduct investigations on the largest customer credit applications and review and approve staff credit recommendations.

• Prepare a monthly report of A/R aging with explanations on past due items and maintain department metrics report.

• Interact with leaders across various business units, providing technical guidance.

• Manage customer credit files and information that needs to be updated or reported on through the Customer Master.

• Allocate personnel based on priorities and ensure that employee cross-training plans are maintained to achieve current and future goals.

• Foster a work environment that encourages a sense of purpose, urgency, involvement, engagement, and accountability to leverage the team for effective and efficient results. Requirements • Mastery of 3M and Accounting Software Systems

• Proficient with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience in B2B collections

• Familiarity with CRM

• Able to manage Accounting Functions

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Billing Functions

• Ability to manage Cash Activity

• Experience with Cash Applications

• Proven track record as a Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Adept at problem-solving and decision-making

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
