To support the demands of our customers as we continue to significantly expand our operations across North America, we are seeking proven Data Center technology focused Builders to be a part of our infrastructure deployment team. We seek strong, strategic, and technical minded individuals with a passion for Delivering Results for their customers. We are looking for Builders who can collaborate, lead and innovate in ambiguous and sometime unchartered space. If hired, you will work in a dynamic environment to help drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in developing innovative ways to automate and scale our network.
The position's responsibilities include scaling support of several data center locations including day to day assistance with capacity management. You will work closely with internal customers as well as external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by network scaling leadership and technical program managers.
You will leverage your experience to support large scale, enterprise class datacenters as you work to drive the stability and supportability of our next-generation networks. As a Builder in this space you will work in a fast paced, collaborative environment requiring regular customer interaction and strong verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, it is expected that all members of the team contribute in the continued development and enhancement of operational procedures and that all are innovating on behalf of AWS.

Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in an IT role or closely related field as well as 1+ year experience working in a data center or critical work environment, working with ticketing systems and or project tracking software as well as troubleshooting network & routing connectivity related issues, including troubleshooting of network device configurations and low level application interaction
1+ year experience working with 3rd party vendors, working in multi-stakeholder projects or programs as well as the ability to move and lift computer equipment up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience with ethernet and IP networking, working in virtualized enterprise networking environments and working with IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, LEAN, AGILE)
Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to show good judgment and instincts in decision-making.
Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment as well as ability to evaluate new technology; deploy and maintain new services.
Organized self-starter with quantitative analytic abilities and proven problem-solving skills.
