What do you contribute?

Welcome to our global center for radio transmission in railroad control and safety technology! As Group Manager (f/m/d), you are the key player (f/m/d) for the development of processes and systems that revolutionize rail communication and make rail traffic safer, more efficient and more innovative worldwide.

  • You will manage 12 employees, dual students and trainees in a professional and disciplinary capacity and also represent the head of department.

  • In addition, you will manage around 30 employees in foreign sister departments and coordinate the global deployment of resources.

  • To this end, you will take on board customer requirements and familiarize yourself intensively and independently with the key content of the contracts.

  • You will allocate and manage project resources in an international, cross-location team and monitor progress using standard tools (e.g. REMA, MS Project).

  • Also, you will review project plans and carry out audits.

  • If necessary, you will also be involved in operational project management.

What do you bring along?

  • The basis of your success is a degree (Master's/Diploma) in an engineering discipline (e.g. communications engineering, electrical engineering) or comparable.

  • You also have many years of functionally experience in technical project management in the electronics or railroad industry.

  • Moreover, you have several years of functionally and disciplinary management experience.

  • You have a background in communications technology (e.g. radio or signal transmission).

  • Therefore, you score with very good knowledge in the areas of network and mobile radio technology (e.g. IP networks, FRMCS, GSM-R, 5G, WLAN).

  • For your role in an international team, you have to be fluent in English and willing to travel (approx. 25%). Knowledge of German is an advantage.
