Position Summary

The Security Administrator will work with other members of the Corporate Security Team in ensuring compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community Security Directives.

This is a full-time position based out of the M.C. Dean Tysons Headquarters. There is potential for the position to evolve and have some degree of workplace flexibility.

Daily Duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Create access control badges for employees, contractors, etc. (HQ and other corporate locations) using company access control systems/software

  • Provide daily front desk coverage during receptionist lunch, provide front desk coverage during other periods as needed (staff PTO, etc.)

  • Review access control system and maintain employee/visitor badges and access control cards

  • Reviewing employee background screening results and providing pass/fail determinations in accordance with contractual requirements

  • Prepare visit authorization requests

  • Initiating, reviewing, and processing Personnel Security Clearances and Periodic Reinvestigations for the DoD and Intelligence Community

  • DISS administrative functions – submit visit authorization, in-process, indoctrinate, debrief, out-process employees, submit CSR's, and generating reports

  • Communicate status updates to Project Leaders and other individuals within organization

  • Perform security briefings/debriefings (SF 312, NATO, new employees and employee terminations etc.)

  • Submit electronic fingerprints through SWFT

  • Manage document control database (SIMS) for incoming and outgoing classified material. Ensure all classified material is properly accounted for, controlled, transmitted, transported, packaged, safeguarded, and destroyed in accordance with the NISPOM and contractual requirements

  • Other duties as assigned

Position / Candidate Requirements

  • High School Diploma with 4-5 years of experience

  • Willingness to submit for a TS/SCI Security Clearance

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a high paced working environment

  • Team player

  • Must work with a sense of urgency, integrity, and ethics

  • Must be flexible – adapt to changes in the work environment and maintain a professional demeanor

  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under stress, despite numerous interruptions

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems

  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing

  • Must have a positive "can do" attitude and be willing to "jump in."

  • Must have strong multitasking skills

  • Must have strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Government Security Clearance, willing to be processed for SCI eligibility

  • College degree preferred

  • Security, Government or Industry Experience

  • Proficiency in DISS, other security databases

  • Understanding of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual

  • Familiarity with SIMS

  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills and the ability to relay technical information to others

  • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills

Work and Travel Requirements:

  • Local Northern Virginia Travel for corporate site visits and training requirements

Abilities:

  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time

  • Sitting for extended periods of time

  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction

  • Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard
