Under the supervision of the Technical Director, ensures that all respiratory equipment is processed and in operational order; maintains an inventory of supplies, parts, and medications related to respiratory care services; and distributes portable oxygen cylinders to specified patient care areas.This position includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions.

Essential Functions
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Disassembles, washes, disinfects, sterilizes, and reassembles respiratory equipment as per department infection control policy and procedure
- Maintains proper inventory levels of consumable supplies, parts, medical gases, and medications. Collaborates with Respiratory Care
- Supervisor in initiating storeroom, pharmacy, and outside vendor
- Maintains an adequate level and appropriate function of equipment (ventilators, compressors, croup tents, flowmeters, gas regulators, etc.) to meet patient demand
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent required.. An associate's degree or equivalent is desirable. Good self-direction and motivational qualities are necessary.
AND
Experience:
Required: Student currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory program
One year experience in materials handling, equipment servicing, and/or direct patient contact highly desirable.
