TURNERS FALLS - ENTRY LEVEL - Goff Machine Operator Description Deerfield Packaging is looking to employ a Goff Machine Operator, who is responsible for shot blasting tools to clean and achieve a polished finish. Job Characteristics Simultaneously operate both a small and large Goff machine, used for different tools and procedures Measure and identify tools per shop pack for the needed procedure Load tools into the machine, using mechanical lifts for larger jobs Move finished product back into bins and prepare to move to next processing department Operate dip tank in between Goff shot blast jobs which is used to clean and cool completed product Perform basic maintenance for machines, including monitoring oil mixture levels for the dip tank and refilling shot for the Goff machine Required Skills Complete work at a steady pace to maximize machine uptime Multitask to complete simultaneous jobs Close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Written and verbal English communication skills Able to work with a team to accomplish company goals Strict attention and adherence to safety guidelines including wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE) Willingness to keep and maintain a clean and safe work environment Adherence to attendance policy Required Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Education/Experience Experience working in a manufacturing/industrial facility Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
