Position Summary

This position is responsible to meet the goals and objectives of the organization by utilizing skill, knowledge, and equipment to ensure the seamless operation of production equipment by fabricating or modifying parts or tools as needed and on demand.

Essential Duties and Tasks:

  • Fabricate or modify parts to make/repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines and minimize downtime.

  • Applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and procedures

  • Plan actions, steps, and activities necessary to produce precision parts to specifications using manual automated tools such as but not limited to lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders to complete the project or batch.

  • Monitor, maintain and adjust process to produce to specifications.

  • Measure, examine and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.

  • Record approved and defective units or finished products.

  • All other duties as assigned.
