Description
We are inviting applications for the role of a Staff Accountant. The successful candidate will join our team based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and work in a fast-paced environment. The role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and involves handling key accounting duties such as general ledger management, journal entries, budget forecasting, and handling software like Netsuite. Please note, this role is 100% onsite.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate processing and recording of the company's financial transactions
• Manage the preparation of journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Conduct budget forecasting and contribute to budget planning
• Utilize software tools such as Netsuite for efficient accounting operations
• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions
• Perform bank reconciliations and month-end close procedures
• Provide support in non-profit accounting if necessary
• Collaborate with the CFO for training and reporting purposes
• Contribute to a team of five in the accounting department
• Adhere to and maintain the company's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
Requirements • Possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Have experience in Bank Reconciliations
• Familiar with General Ledger management
• Capable of preparing and reviewing Journal Entries
• Familiar with Month End Close procedures
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Proficiency in Oracle is highly desirable
• Knowledge of SAP is beneficial
• Previous experience in Non-profit Accounting is an advantage
• Must possess strong analytical skills
• Should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required
• Professional accounting certification (e.g. CPA) is preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable
• Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws is beneficial
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
