System One Medical Records Clerk in Tulsa, Oklahoma
System One is looking for a qualified Medical Records Clerk for a midsized specialty clinic in the Tulsa, OK area. This person is responsible for maintaining patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations as well as other relevant health care laws and regulations. They will be responsible for reviewing and filing medical records, responding to requests for patient information, and ensuring that all records are up-to-date and accurate.
Responsibilities:
Review all medical records for completeness and accuracy
File and maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Respond to requests for medical information from patients, providers, and other authorized persons
Enter patient information into computer systems
Ensure that all medical records are properly coded for insurance billing purposes
Competent with office administration tasks and data entry
Maintain confidentiality of patient information
Participate in quality control procedures to maintain accuracy and completeness of records.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of recent experience working in medical records required
High school diploma or equivalent
Understanding of HIPAA and other relevant health care laws and regulations
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize tasks
Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
