The Boeing Global Services (BGS) Engineering Analytics Modeling and Simulation team is seeking a Senior Level Systems Engineer to join the Reliability and maintainability (R&M) team in Tukwila, WA .

This role is responsible performing reliability and maintainability of digital data received from internal and external customers. You will be supporting program management and engineering in this analysis. You will be the lead R&M System Engineer and will be interacting with the Executive team, in addition to forward facing customers.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Provide engineering support to the KC-46 customers.

  • Work closely and communicate optimally with customer maintainers, operators, and engineering personnel.

  • Apply aircraft engineering knowledge and systems design and analysis experience to tackle customer fleet issues.

  • Coordinate with Boeing Experts to provide responses to customer inquiries.

  • Participate in program engineering and status meetings.

  • Collaborate with others, to ensure a dedication to customer satisfaction and process improvement.

  • Thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment.

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify sophisticated lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

  • Develops, maintains, and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

  • Resolves multi-functional technical issues.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship . An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options (Seattle, WA). This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics.

  • 5 +years’ experience with commercial, military, or commercial derivative aircraft involving design, analysis, manufacturing, procurement, assembly, integration, test, delivery, and fleet support.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1 + years’ experience using data visualization tools.

  • Previous aerospace industry experience.

  • Experience in MATRIX and VECTOR tools.

  • Experience supporting fleet in-service aircraft.

  • Experience with Commercial Derivative Aircraft.

  • Experience with Aircraft Maintenance including My Boeing Fleet and related aircraft maintenance documentation.

  • Experience in the development of root cause corrective actions pertaining to R&M.

Typical Education & Experience:

Senior Level (4):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior Level Summary pay range: $128,350 - $173,650
