PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $164,200.00-$200,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $127,900.00 - $237,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

The Director Retail Operations & Implementation is a multi-faceted role, responsible for operational efficiencies, initiative execution, and integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning capabilities into the Retail Delivery strategic plan. This role creates and implements strategies ensuring the delivery of exceptional member and team member experiences. The Director oversees key systems and vendor relationships, partnering with technology leaders to ensure optimal performance and service levels. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing best practices, and leading change management and team readiness efforts while applying a technical lens. The Director works cross-functionally to ensure the effective management of business unit projects led by or impacting Retail Delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Strategic Development and Implementation

  • Lead the strategic development of new processes and support tools that elevate the division objectives.

  • Explore and implement innovative technology trends and applications to ensure the Credit Union's ability to meet future member needs.

  • Drive innovation to reduce member effort and improve the overall experience through process improvements.

  • Partner across the organization to help develop AI and machine learning innovation capabilities, including Retail Delivery.

  • Drive division prioritization through impactful storytelling and the development of strategic business cases.

  • Present information on initiatives through all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, management, staff, and external contacts.

Vendor and System Management

  • Manage and monitor multiple critical vendor relationships.

  • Work with vendors to implement key enhancements to improve team member and member experiences.

  • Represent Retail Delivery on key organization-wide initiatives and ensure team readiness.

Project and Initiative Oversight

  • Oversee business unit projects and initiatives, partnering with assigned BECU Project Management resources when needed.

  • Facilitate and enhance processes, tools, communications, training, and methodologies to ensure Retail Delivery's goal success.

  • Work across the organization to facilitate the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.

System Administration and Documentation

  • Collaborate with the Technology Business Solutions business partner to ensure effective system administration.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

  • Establish protocols for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for business unit systems and resolve business unit technology issues.

  • Lead the creation and maintenance of the business unit's process workflows, procedures manuals, and documentation.

Team Development and Management

  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training to develop and encourage employee performance.

  • Conduct timely performance evaluations using BECU competencies as performance measures.

  • Maintain and leverage a comprehensive understanding of the business unit's products and services.

  • Develop an operating plan and budget, including compensation projections for all areas of responsibility.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, business operations or related field, or equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum of eight years of experience in financial industry experience with progressive increased scope of responsibility required.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a people leader role required.

  • Experience leading large-scale project teams.

  • Experience in change management, project management, and strategic planning.

Desired qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years in business operations experience including business reengineering, project management, process improvement, program management, and system administration preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead teams through transformational change.

  • Excellent conceptual and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective leadership and negotiation skills.

  • Experience in change management, project management, and strategic planning.

  • Experience leading large-scale project teams.
