Job Title: Structures Mechanic

Job Description

Our client is one of the world’s leading industrial groups, spanning energy, logistics & infrastructure, industrial machinery, aerospace, and defense. The company operates a massive climate-controlled hangar in Tucson, Arizona, which houses 16 lines of maintenance working on the CRJ line. The facility is rapidly growing and expanding with new lines coming soon. The role involves troubleshooting, installations/removals, and inspections on the CRJ aircraft, as well as scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, service bulletins, air directives, repairs, and occasional modifications and upgrades. Candidates will fabricate and/or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, install/remove, and inspect CRJ aircraft.

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, service bulletins, air directives, repairs, and occasional modifications and upgrades.

  • Fabricate and modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.

Essential Skills

  • A License required

  • Minimum of 5 years of structural sheet metal repair and modification experience or sustained similar experience

  • Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience preferred

  • CRJ airframe experience a plus

  • MRO / Heavy Maintenance experience required

  • Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) a plus

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • A&P License preferred

  • Basic set of tools required

  • Candidates must pass a structures test - flush pass - before start

  • FAA Drug Test and Background Check required

Work Environment

The work environment is a temperature-controlled hangar with 12-hour shifts. Candidates must be open to any shift and any day, following a 4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off schedule. Overtime is required for 8 hours every other week. The position is on an open-ended contract with 90-day reviews and the possibility to go permanent at any time with a good attitude and performance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tucson, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
