The Tucson-based Program Security Specialist position will support the Global Security Services (GSS) Industrial Security Team. You will be an embedded security professional, with security decision authority, and be a facilitator of a range of front of the line business security services.

Professional security services includes writing policies and procedures, coordinating with government accrediting authorities and customers, and preparing security assessments, investigating, and analyzing reports for senior security and Program Leadership Teams.

You will promote regulatory compliance with Department of Defense security regulations through effective training and influencing and by advising Program leadership and staff on multiple efficient options within the security policy space. You will partner with senior peers from program Finance, Contracts, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, and Engineering to meet program objectives. You will report directly to the Sub Strategic Business Unit Security Manager and will functionally align to the Raytheon GSS Industrial Security, Center of Excellence

What You Will Do

  • Manage contract security reviews to ensure requirements are consistent with the NISPOM Rule 32 CFR Part 117, and various other government directives as specified in the DD254 and contract Statements of Work (SOW).

  • Represent GSS leadership and successfully execute GSS strategy and tactics, positioning plans to advocate a partnership with the customer community that promotes a positive, healthy and proactive customer relationship.

  • Assist local facility security managers as well as program leadership and other security managers and representatives in resolving program security issues directly with the government customer, subcontractors, Raytheon Technologies (RTX) teammates, other GSS core capabilities and internal program personnel.

  • Research contractual (SOW, CDRL, etc.) documents, internal directives, and the NISPOM Rule for security applicability and impact analysis.

  • Visiting subcontractors and other locations to conduct formal assessments or provide security assistance as needed Conducting necessary follow-up including interviews to ensure complete Inquires of security violations to identify root causes, corrective actions, and capability.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, Business Management, or similar curriculum and a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Industrial Security, Information Assurance/Cyber, Special Programs, security management, military, or government information security programs with strong demonstrated progression from follower to leader.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with OPSEC, cybersecurity, and encryption requirements, and conducting security operations in field/test environments.

  • Project Management skills.

  • Top Secret security clearance desired.

  • Self- motivated results-based performer.

  • Effective multitasking skills

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
