JOB SUMMARY

The key role of the Payroll Coordinator is to process employee time sheets on time and accurately. The Payroll Administrator will verify all time keeping records of employees hours worked as well as deductions or withholdings required to comply with state and federal law.

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for preparing payroll for any companies assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.

Compute wages and deductions then enter data in computers.

Review time sheets, work charts, wage computations, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.

Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.

Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.

Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.

Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, garnishments, and maintain and update payroll records.

Alter employee tax status as needed as well as any information needed for witholdings.

Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.

Keep track of leave of time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave for employees.

Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters and tax issues.

Prepare documentation for contracts, transactions, or regulatory compliance as it relates to payroll.

Change employee banking records when necessary to process payments accurately.

Understands the rules and regulations associated with payroll processing at the state and federal level; Arizona.

Maintains confidentiality at all times.

Ensure payroll tax remittance to the applicate state

Verifies and prepares if needed periodic reports of earning, taxes and deductions.

Keeping current on payroll law by attending seminars, newsletters, and networking.

Provides input in the improvement, and maintenance of automated time and attendance payroll systems.

Provide assistance as needed to the Human Resource Manager.
