Caterpillar Global Mining is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager. In this role, you will work with Strategic Account customers and will be responsible for managing the execution of continuous improvement portfolios that fulfill contractual/agreement commitments. The contractual commitments include collaborative deliverables in areas such as mining equipment application and operation, maintenance and repair, logistics, and parts and components inventory to support equipment.
You will collaborate with some of Global Mining’s largest, most diverse, and most loyal customers to optimize their operations. You will work with a diverse range of customers, dealers, product groups, and go-to-market teams to develop and manage a portfolio of Continuous Improvement projects that is complex, challenging, and strategic in nature. This is a dynamic position for an experienced individual who can positively collaborate with customers, dealers, and internal Caterpillar groups.
What you will do:
Develop and maintain effective partnerships with customers, dealers, product groups, and go-to-market teams to achieve Continuous Improvement and physical availability objectives and targets.
Collaborate with customer decision-makers to identify and target business needs and barriers to success.
Work with Account Managers to develop and deliver on Continuous Improvement strategies that fit with and support overall account strategies.
Successfully deliver on contractual commitments by achieving alignment from Caterpillar, dealer, and customer key influencers to carry out Continuous Improvement initiatives and activities for specific customers and sites.
Provide input to customer operations and processes using your deep subject matter expertise in equipment management, production optimization, safety, and/or application.
Serve as a subject matter expert to dealers, customers, and go-to-market teams for Continuous Improvement processes, tools, and best practices.
What skills you will have:
Account Management: Extensive experience in customer and/or dealer-facing roles, including field assignments or the equivalent. Experience in equipment management, application, technology, and/or production optimization.
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. Demonstrated ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and successfully operate in a customer and/or dealer facing environment.
Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience in mining. Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Strong project management and leadership skills.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
Top Candidates will also have:
Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.
Knowledge of Caterpillar products, policies, and procedures.
Additional information:
This position requires the candidate to work full-time in the Tucson, AZ office.

Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
