Summary: The Facilities Worker is responsible for maintaining Lex Easts facilities in clean and presentable working order. This involves performing janitorial and other housekeeping services. The Facilities Worker also communicates with building services providers to quickly address building needs. The Facilities Worker teams with other Lex employees to ensure cleaning inventory meets future near term need without overstocking supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Perform thorough cleaning of the cafeteria, bathrooms, and common areas daily or as often as needed to achieve and maintain visible cleanliness; areas including both factory and office environments.
• Support, maintain and enhance Lexs safe workplace and general grounds keeping programs
• Maintain, improve and monitor the interior and exterior of Lex East facilities to ensure they present Lexs best image and provide a comfortable and safe work environment
• Address workplace improvement efforts as directed by management
• Assist with building improvement/maintenance work when requested
• Helps communicate company needs/requirements to outside vendors, such as:
  • Landscaping/Snowplowing
  • Air Conditioning
  • Electrical
  • Cleaning/Housekeeping
  • Waste Management
  • Plumbing
  • Security
  • Other facility related vendors/suppliers
• Conduct facility safety walkthroughs to spot possible safety issues and bring concerns to the Maintenance and Facilities Lead or to a company safety committee member.
• Complete and document monthly fire extinguisher safety checks
• Maintain eye wash stations and first aid supplies
• Manage cleaning supplies and breakroom supplies inventory levels and work with Supply Chain to restock items as needed.
• Complete inspection, supply order requests and other basic documents.
• Perform building handyman jobs (i.e. hang fire extinguishers, painting, etc.) in accordance with Facilities Workers skills, certifications and/or qualifications
• Complete and maintain accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records
• Establish and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as they relate to building maintenance
• Perform and adhere to Preventative Maintenance Schedule
• Maintain buildings and grounds in good working order and appearance
• All Other duties as assigned

RMA Specialists should have the following education and experience:

• 2+ years experience in a facilities related role.
• High School degree
• Must be able to use portable power tools
• Must have basic hand tool skills
• Ability to spot possible safety concerns
• Basic level of computer literacy, i.e. the ability to use a computer (MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and leadership.
• Possess good interpersonal skills.
• Must possess good organizational skills.
• Able to prioritize, work efficiently and accurately as well as follow through on instructions.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Sense of urgency
• Flexibility to changing work schedules and extra hours
• Ability to use ladders, tools, and equipment properly and safely
• Ability to work in hot/wet/cool conditions
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, twist, climb, and kneel throughout shift
• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently with heavier weights at times
