The Electro-Neuro Student Technician functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Neurodiagnostics. Capable of performing neurodiagnostic procedures under the general supervision of Electo-Neuro I & II, or other designated qualified personnel, including both inpatient and outpatient routine & long-term electroencephalograms ( EEGs ) and all modalities of evoked potential procedures. The student must be knowledgeable in correct EEG, long-term monitoring ( LTM ), and evoked potential ( EP ) performance and recognition of clinically significant events and follows the facility’s policy and procedures. Exercises professional judgement in the performance of exams and communicates effectively with the neurologist and other staff members.
