Local college hiring for FOOD SERVICE WORKERS!

Location: Troy, NY

Pay Rate: $17 an hour

Job Type: Part-time/ Full Time Hours

The Food Service Worker will assist in the setup and serving of food from counters and steam tables. Duties include preparing simple food items, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.

• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.

• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator.

• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.

• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.

• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner.

• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to the supervisor.

• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.

• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Previous food service and customer service (1-2 years)

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
