Unity House Special Ed Teacher (Sub) FT/ PT /Per Diem Urgently Hiring ! in Troy, New York

$750 SIGN-ON BONUS!

A Child's Place at Unity House of Troy has opportunities available in our Special Education Department for Full-Time, Part-time and per diem Substitute Special Education Teachers. New graduate with an educational degree? Bachelors degree preferred. Associates degree in early childhood education are encouraged to apply!

Pay is based on experience and degree/certification.

Salary posted for Bachelors degree level ($23.65-$26.68) Associates Degree starting salary: ($21.18 - $24.05)

Responsibilities:

Assess the needs of young children with special needs in the Preschool Special Education classroom.

Address educational and behavioral needs based upon individual children’s using knowledge in evidence-based practices.

Adapt behavioral plans accordingly.

Work supportively in a multi-disciplinary team for the advantage of the entire classroom.

Work collaboratively with all staff and administration to benefit the needs of all the children.

Perform student assessment and evaluation required.

Promote a classroom of inclusion and belonging.

Requirements:

New graduates will be considered. Associate level encouraged to apply. Bachelor's degree and certification in Students with Disabilities Birth to Grade 2 preferred. Proficient writing and computer skills, ability to support behavior plans. Must have reliable transportation, clean/ valid NYS driver's.
