CLAIMS PROCESSING TECH II – Eddy Home Care - FT Days

Community Hospice has a unique opening for an accounts receivable billing representative. The position includes a variety of payers including NYS Medicaid, and local HMO payers. The role is responsible for review and submission of electronic claims, review of cash to be posted, follow up on denials and outstanding claims and professional interaction with our Skilled Nursing Facility Partners. The ideal candidate should include strong organizational skills and a desire to work in a fast paced healthcare environment.

Primary responsibilities include ensuring authorizations are on file, billing timely, follow-up on unpaid claims, and active participation in team meetings. Other responsibilities include processing information and sharing updates between finance and clinical operations.

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate should be very organized, patient, flexible and able to adapt well to changes.

  • Previous home care authorization, insurance verification, and billing experience is helpful or 2-3 years in a health care environment.

  • High School Diploma required.

Pay range: $18.50-$24.66

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
