Job Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Logistics Execution System (LES) to join our Industrial Solutions team. As the Senior Manager, LES you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our logistics execution system, with a focus on supporting the business through technology solutions. The Senior Manager, LES and Industrial Solutions is a part of the larger Magna Information Technology team that’s focused providing value to our internal customers, in a fee for service approach, through application service delivery, project management, and best practice / process analysis.
Major Responsibilities
Lead the global team responsible for supporting logistics execution systems
Lead the implementation and integration of new logistics technologies and systems
Develop and implement strategies to optimize the performance of our logistics execution system
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document business requirements for system enhancements and improvements
Create and manage application support services billing and financials
Monitor and analyze system use and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary
Provide training and support to end-users
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve system-related issues and ensure timely resolution
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in logistics execution systems and technology solutions
Develop and maintain system documentation
Manage vendor relationships
Own financials and annual business planning processing for team
Skills and Competencies
Proven experience in managing logistics execution systems and technology solutions, preferably in a manufacturing context
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and other logistics technologies, with a focus on leveraging technology to support business operations
Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven decisions to drive operational improvements
Demonstrated understating of cloud, edge, and on-prem computing architectures in logistics business process support
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance related to logistics operations and technology solutions is desirable
Knowledge, Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in logistics (SCM), information technology, computer science, or a related field
Excellent English language skills (verbal and written)
Minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience
Experience in Tier-1 Automotive Industry is a strong plus
Work Environment
Regular travel 10-25% of the time.
