Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Laser Tracker Operator to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Report to Independence Tooling Operations Manager

• Ensure that manufactured and purchased parts conform to engineering specifications and drawings using a Laser Tracker or CMM.

• Mark up manufactured parts for finish machining operations as required by the manufacturing routing.

• Implement subassembly personnel with inspection data when adjustments are necessary to meet final accuracy requirements.

• Verify that subassemblies meet accuracy requirements specified by engineering specifications and drawings.

• Design inspection reports based on gathered data and process Defective Work Tickets.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience operating a Laser Tracker (API/Verisurf).

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills with customers, peers, and subordinates.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs.

• Willingness to work overtime as needed, with adaptability to fluctuating workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating a CMM machine.

• Familiarity with fixtures.

• Quality experience is preferred.

• Background in aerospace, automotive, or defense is a plus.

• Knowledge of Taurus CMM.

• White Light Scanning experience is advantageous.

• Familiarity with PC-DMIS, EZ-DMIS, or SPUD software.
