Waltonen Laser Tracker Operator in Troy, Michigan
Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Laser Tracker Operator to join our team!
Responsibilities
Report to Independence Tooling Operations Manager
Ensure that manufactured and purchased parts conform to engineering specifications and drawings using a Laser Tracker or CMM.
Mark up manufactured parts for finish machining operations as required by the manufacturing routing.
Implement subassembly personnel with inspection data when adjustments are necessary to meet final accuracy requirements.
Verify that subassemblies meet accuracy requirements specified by engineering specifications and drawings.
Design inspection reports based on gathered data and process Defective Work Tickets.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience operating a Laser Tracker (API/Verisurf).
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills with customers, peers, and subordinates.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs.
Willingness to work overtime as needed, with adaptability to fluctuating workloads.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating a CMM machine.
Familiarity with fixtures.
Quality experience is preferred.
Background in aerospace, automotive, or defense is a plus.
Knowledge of Taurus CMM.
White Light Scanning experience is advantageous.
Familiarity with PC-DMIS, EZ-DMIS, or SPUD software.
