Description

Robert Half has an exciting contract to hire employment opportunity for a Help Desk Support position in TROY, Michigan. The successful candidate will be a key part of our telecom provider team, working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role involves providing support to customers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining effective communication with users.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with support of their phone system, ensuring smooth and efficient operation

• Provide post-installation support including adding, modifying, or removing users to the system, updating system prompts, and editing their call flow

• Troubleshoot customer issues with call quality, application function, or call routing, utilizing skills in Basic Troubleshooting, Hardware and Software, and WebEx

• Answer support line and manage our online ticketing system, demonstrating strong customer support skills

• Provide on-call support when needed, showcasing flexibility and dedication to the role

• Use your knowledge of Phone Systems to provide superior service to customers

• Collaborate with the team to ensure effective and consistent customer support

• Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in the telecom industry

• Demonstrate strong communication skills when dealing with customers and team members

• Strive for excellence in all tasks, paying attention to detail and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Help Desk, IT Support, or Call Center environment

• Proficiency in basic troubleshooting, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

• Knowledge of hardware and software, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

• Familiarity with WebEx for conducting and supporting virtual meetings or an interest to learn.

• Excellent customer support skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive relationship with customers.

• Experience with phone systems, including handling incoming calls and directing calls to appropriate personnel.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
