Position Overview

As an Operations Generalist your duties will include but are not limited to; receiving, administrative, auditing, checking and inventory control.

  • 1st shift starting between 330am and 7am Working Sunday to Thursday

Job Description

Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices — every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors and communities.

You will contribute by:

  • Inventory Control duties will include but are not limited to: Conduct accurate cycle count of inventory locations per handheld device/forms in the warehouse and make system updates as required. Validate dating of product in the warehouse and update as required .Audit and Correct inbound receiving paperwork and perform audits of SOP's as required by Supervisor. Respond to buyer requests for item checks in the warehouse.

  • Auditing duties will include but are not limited to :Validate product to be delivered to customers as part of process to measure outbound loading accuracy .You will also assist in maintaining an acceptable error rate on orders shipped according to company guidelines. When Chargeable errors are noted, notify the responsible party of their error and obtain their signature as acknowledgement of the audit. Submit daily audit results to the appropriate team member(s) at the end of each shift.

  • Administrative duties will include and are not limited to: Compile data from our WMS into reports and generate reports for management. Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests .Effectively partner cross-functionally to achieve business results. Enter purchase order receipts into computer system and print receiving tags for use by receivers. Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for delivery of materials. Confirm and correspond with customers, vendors and others to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications .Greet incoming outside truck drivers and direct to proper unloading bay.

  • Must be able to work to the end of shift to include necessary overtime in order to meet business needs and willing to assist in other departments based upon business needs. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Warehouse : Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)

  • Warehouse : Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

  • Warehouse : Freezer (-20F to 0F)

Skills

  • Specialized Knowledge : Ability to operate pallet jack and other required materials handling equipment (MHE). Ability to operate pallet jack and other required materials handling equipment (MHE). Ability to operate battery hoist. Compliance with all company policies and procedures

  • Special Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Physical abilities: : Sometimes crawling, sitting, climbing up to 4 ft. (Must have fall protection training and using proper fall protection equipment). Occasionally smelling, balancing, kneeling, and talking. Frequently crouching. Frequently pushing and pulling up to 60 Lbs. Continuously handling, gripping, carrying, and lifting, up to 60 Lbs. Continuously feeling, pivoting, stooping, pivoting and reaching (level: Waist/overhead, etc.). Continuously standing and walking on surface type (s): Carpet, tile, concrete. continuously fingering, hearing, seeing and repetitive movement using both hands and feet
