Robert Half Cost Accountant in Trinity, North Carolina

Description

We are offering a role in the manufacturing industry, located in the Triad, North Carolina, United States. The job function is that of a Cost Accountant, providing support to our accounting department with particular focus on standard costing, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the cost accounting function in the manufacturing industry

• Ensuring timely and accurate month-end close procedures

• Preparing journal entries as part of the accounting function

• Conducting account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

• Implementing standard costing methodologies to support financial decision making

• Utilizing skills in General Ledger, Account Reconciliation, Microsoft Excel, and Journal Entry Preparation to perform tasks effectively

• Handling other duties related to cost accounting as required.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cost Accountant role within the Manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in General Ledger management

• Familiarity with Account Reconciliation processes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

• Experience in Journal Entry Preparation

• Strong analytical skills for evaluating cost measures

• Excellent communication skills for reporting financial information

• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations and reporting

• Ability to work independently and take initiative

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Professional certification such as CMA or CPA is a plus

• Understanding of manufacturing financial accounting

• Experience with financial systems and databases
