Senior Business Infrastructure Analyst

What does a successful Senior Business Infrastructure Analyst do?

At Fiserv, a successful Senior Business Infrastructure Analyst is a key leader who serves as the primary liaison between the Fiserv Education business unit and the Fiserv Technology Services (FTS) organization. You will consult with application development teams and collaborate with FTS engineers and architects regarding infrastructure solutions, managing technical assets to ensure optimal performance and compliance. Your role is crucial in enhancing our service delivery, supporting our mission of meeting clients where they are, and driving innovations within our finance and student loans sector.

What you will do:

  • Act as the primary business unit point of contact with the FTS organization.

  • Support application engineering solutions by consulting with FTS on infrastructure solution planning, design, and delivery.

  • Advise business unit engineering teams on IT technology standard requirements, methodologies, and processes, working closely with FTS engineers and architects.

  • Manage asset inventory for Fiserv Education, including servers, databases, storage, network devices, APIs, and software, ensuring all items are accurately reflected in the configuration management database (CMDB).

  • Coordinate and deploy technology refreshes with FTS.

  • Provide strong leadership and collaborate across departments to ensure exceptional service delivery.

What you will need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience working with technical infrastructure (servers, databases, storage, and network devices) in a medium to large IT organization.

  • 3+ years of experience in the finance industry, specifically student loans.

  • Thorough understanding of data center infrastructure hardware and software systems, including network, security, storage, and compute for traditional data center hosted applications, virtual, and private cloud solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server concepts, virtual machines, domains, Active Directory services, SAN/NAS storage systems, networking, and database management.

  • Experience with backup technologies and understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other network services.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management and collaborative attitude.

What would be great to have:

  • 2+ years of experience with mainframe infrastructure including DB2 databases.

  • 2+ years of experience with Oracle databases.

  • 2+ years of experience with CMDB and technical asset management.

  • 2+ years of direct support experience of servers, databases, storage, and network devices.

  • Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile Development methodologies.

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island or Washington.
