JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

• Responsible for the connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.

• Responsible for observing and following all safety regulations with required PPE.

• Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment"s; prioritize, schedule, assign and coordinate the work of assigned staff to accomplish a wide variety of duties related to the production equipment"s.

• Perform troubleshooting to repair or replace fans and motors; perform repairs to motors, bells and lighting circuits and to communication and audio-visual equipment.

• Estimate cost of labor and materials for work orders; obtain competitive prices for equipment and supplies needed by operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Graduation or equivalent and completion of an approved apprenticeship program; or equivalent

• Two years of post-apprenticeship experience performing, equipment maintenance, control and protective system troubleshooting and maintenance in an industrial, utility, and/or manufacturing environment.

• Apprenticeship Standards may be substituted for completion of a recognized Electrician Apprenticeship program or equivalent. These areas include commercial and industrial wiring, intercom and signals, controls, underground work, trouble shooting, finishing and fixture hanging, solid state controls, and stock and inventory.

• Good computer skills (Microsoft products)

• Preventative maintenance best practices (CMMS) experience is a plus
