Honeywell Director Advanced Manufacturing Engineering in Torrance, California

As a Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for overseeing and driving advanced manufacturing strategies and initiatives. You will report directly to our ISC Engineering NPI Sr. Director, providing global leadership to the Mechanical New Product introduction Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact and improve our design for manufacturing processes, drive design for cost activities, new factory innovation, and achieve operational excellence. By optimizing manufacturing processes, implementing cutting-edge technologies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives, you will enhance productivity, improve product quality, and drive customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for advanced manufacturing engineering initiatives including design for manufacturing and design for cost activities

  • Develop and implement advanced manufacturing strategies to drive innovation and operational excellence

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance productivity

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives

  • Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies to drive continuous improvement and cost efficiencies

  • Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $198,000 - $247,500. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

  • Extensive experience in advanced manufacturing engineering and process optimization

  • Proven track record of driving innovation and operational excellence in manufacturing operations

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

  • US Citizenship is required

WE VALUE

  • Advanced Engineering degree such as Manufacturing Engineering, ME (Mechanical Engineering), or related field

  • Desired experience in APQP and Six Sigma tools
