Bodying Technician

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, the Bodying Technician will work with a team of technicians to trim, assemble, fixture, and bond composite body panels to high-end automotive chassis in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.” Working at this level requires an effective communicator that works well on a team and can multitask efficiently. This position requires you to be meticulous in your work and constantly striving for improvement. You must be able follow precise work instructions while maintaining both accountability and accurate work documentation through a start to finish composite bodying process.

Essential Functions

  • Align/trim composite & metal body panels to desired gaps and flush.

  • Adjust and repair vehicle chassis as necessary to fit panels.

  • Bond composite panels to vehicle chassis.

  • Work to build schedule, ensuring there are no delays in the production cycle.

  • Operation of company vehicles and industrial machinery in support of providing completed company products.

  • Assist in special projects as required, and assist other body technicians and co-workers as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years of related work experience in an automotive, composite, restoration, manufacturing and or assembly environment

  • General automotive knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of composite materials, especially carbon fiber and manufacturing techniques

  • If you meet the qualifications of this role, you'll receive an email, phone call, and/or text from our recruiting team to schedule a phone interview. If you pass the phone interview, the final step is an on-site interview and skills test. Information will be provided during the first phone interview.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm with overtime as needed.

Compensation

The starting pay range for this position is between $20.00 - $28.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
