A leading Manufaturing company in Torrance, CA is currently seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving / Material Control Coordinator to join their dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring the smooth handling and control of incoming materials and supplies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. salary: $19 - $21 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record shipments of materials and supplies.

• Verify quantities and quality of items received against invoices and packing slips.

• Ensure proper storage and organization of materials in designated areas.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular audits.

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or issues.

• Prepare materials for production and ensure timely delivery to appropriate departments.

• Monitor inventory levels and submit purchase requisitions as needed.

• Assist in implementing and maintaining efficient receiving and material control processes.

• Adhere to all safety and quality standards.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
