Canadian Tire Visual Merchandiser in Toronto, Ontario

What you'll do

  • Manage production, quality, and on-time delivery of all guides.

  • Manage intake and capacity planning.

  • Develop internal reporting and analytics to help optimize support streams and improve relevancy of content (capacity planning, click rates, page views, viewer retention and more).

  • Compile Seasonal Planning updates (S1-7).

  • Develop and communicate visual merchandising standards.

  • Conduct training and support to Visual Merchandising Specialists and Space Planning Specialists.

  • Translate business strategies into practical merchandising solutions that engages our customers.

  • Inspire store-level execution to increase customer engagement and drive sales.

  • Test physical merchandising solutions to facilitate in-store execution.

  • Articulate strategic priorities and physical merchandising solutions through digital store-support guides using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

  • Lead cross-functional teams through end-to-end project lifecycle – from intake/ideation to in-store execution.

  • Facilitate physical in-store presentation walk-throughs with key stakeholders from merchandising and store operations.

What you bring

  • Post-secondary (diploma or degree) education in a similar and or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of merchandising experience in retail, space planning, marketing, and/or advertising field.

  • Minimum 2 years of in-store visual merchandising ‎experience in a leadership role.

  • An understanding of Canadian Tire’s merchandising practices and principles is an asset.

  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong creative problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.

  • Comfortable performing in a dynamic work environment to deliver quality on time.

  • Effectively manage time and multiple workstreams simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to derive insights from raw data and analytics.

  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

  • Proficient with MS Office suite, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Project management experience an asset.

  • Knowledge of space management software such as Spaceman or JDA/Blue Yonder Space Planning an asset.

  • Experience working with 3D software is an asset.
