Google Technical Operations Lead, gKIT in Toronto, Ontario

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in technical project management.

  • Experience operating within and collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., product management, sales, implementation).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with business requirements management, solution design, customer journey mapping, and solutions delivery.

  • Experience working with JSON, Python, or HTML.

  • Ability to solve complex problems through structured root cause problem solving and ruthless prioritization, especially in areas with high levels of ambiguity.

  • Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders and users.

  • Excellent relationship building, collaboration, negotiation, communication, project management, and analysis skills.

The gTech Knowledge Infrastructure and Tools (gKIT) team’s direction is to innovate services, simplify via automated workflows, and obviate the need for 1:1 support with shared insights, single data truth, and tracking capabilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and a pragmatic approach to problem solving, maintaining system configuration based on business requirements, recognizing efficiency improvement opportunities, and proposing new processes as needed to address them and maintaining process documentation.

  • Manage the overall infrastructure through administration of core configurations and proactively maintain the health of the system.

  • Execute technical projects and functions (e.g., issue triage and troubleshooting).

  • Partner with vendors and vendor management to deliver on established workflows and to identify new opportunities for scale.

  • Drive the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of stakeholder programs and tools based on business needs.

  • Ideate, launch, and scale solutions that enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, or success measurement (e.g., cost savings, capacity planning, time savings).
